How it works

Simple on the surface, careful underneath.

A network is only useful if both sides trust the numbers. This is what happens between a click and a payout, step by step.

The life of a lead

What happens to every lead

1 · Submitted

The form is sent

The lead is recorded with its source, the time and the consent given.

2 · Checked

Automatic filters

Duplicates, test entries and badly formatted data are removed before the advertiser sees them.

3 · Validated

The advertiser decides

The advertiser contacts the person and marks the lead as approved or rejected.

4 · Paid

Approved means earned

Approved leads count towards the publisher’s payout and the advertiser’s invoice.

Approval rate

Why approval is the number to watch

It is easy to generate leads. It is harder to generate leads that an advertiser is happy to pay for. The approval rate is the share of submitted leads that are confirmed as valid, and it tells you more about a campaign than volume or cost per lead ever will.

Across the network the average is 78%. If yours is lower, your manager will tell you which sources or creatives are pulling it down. If it is higher, that is the best argument for a better payout.
